Avis Malaysia recently announced the opening of its new rental station in Sandakan, Sabah. The station, located at Sandakan International Airport will be Avis’ second outlet in Sabah after Kota Kinabalu.
The opening of the Sandakan outlet will accommodate the vehicle rental needs of tourists and residents of Sandakan and its surrounding areas. The outlet will also complement Avis’ existing outlets in East Malaysia and make it more convenient for everyone to travel either for business or leisure, across the states of Sabah and Sarawak.
According to Mohammad Shanaz, Chief Operating Officer of Avis Malaysia, the opening of the Sandakan outlet represents another significant milestone for the company’s operations in the country.
“We are very excited and proud to be opening our Sandakan outlet, and to expand on our coverage and operations in the state of Sabah. With Avis’ experience and global reputation in vehicle rental, I am confident that we will be well-received among tourists and locals alike. Furthermore, with the recent government’s announcement on allowing tourist activities to resume in states under the recovery and conditional movement control orders, which now includes Sabah, we are looking forward to serving our customers the best that we can,” said Shanaz.
